Project Manager 3
Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for a Project Manager for their Vancouver, Washington location. This position will provide project management expertise for critical initiatives, including Network Integration Transmission (NT) and Point-to-Point (PTP) services. The PM will facilitate process development, business practices, and product implementation strategies.

Pay Range: $88.00 – $92.25
Location: Hybrid in Vancouver, WA (Onsite 1-2 days per week)
Key Responsibilities for Project Manager:
- Lead and manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with implementing organizations, product managers, and policy developers to develop and refine transmission products such as PTP, NT, Ancillary Services, and CF.
- Facilitate product evolution to ensure financial strength, compliance with OATT, and alignment with customer needs.
- Analyze customer usage of transmission products and their deployment in business operations.
- Plan and implement product design choices, ensuring adherence to established timelines and goals.
- Assist in integrating wind and solar resources into existing systems and perform re-dispatch and curtailment data analysis.
- Draft and manage project plans, resource strategies, and funding estimates to support assigned initiatives.
- Identify risks and develop contingency plans, maintaining detailed logs for issues, risks, and actions.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders, project sponsors, and internal teams, providing updates on progress, obstacles, and recommendations.
- Coordinate team meetings and serve as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure alignment and effective execution.
- Monitor project progress to track timelines, milestones, and performance metrics, recommending adjustments as necessary.
- Support change management efforts, including organizational alignment and role/process revisions as needed.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and project transitions, ensuring smooth handovers through documentation and training.
- Maintain and manage records in compliance with security, governance, and auditing requirements.
Requirements for Project Manager:
- A master’s degree is preferred. A bachelor’s degree in economics, business administration or management, organizational development, engineering, computer science, or other technical related discipline is preferred.
- 10 years of experience is required with a bachelor’s degree in an applicable field.
- 12 years of experience is required with a bachelor’s degree in a non-applicable field.
- 14 years of experience is required without a degree or applicable degree.
- Experience should be in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
- Knowledge of product management as well as process management.
- Strong analytic skills and the ability to perform root cause identification/analysis.
- Experience influencing and integrating change in a large, diverse organization.
- Experience leading project teams, management review, and decision-making sessions supporting organization level improvement efforts.
- Experience managing projects in accordance with industry project management principles.
- Ability to organize and analyze detailed information and present it in a variety of formats for business, executive, and technical audiences.
- Ability to assess and estimate project costs.
