OVERVIEW OF PEOPLE OPERATIONS ANALYST
This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with the CEO of a mission-driven social enterprise that champions disability inclusion. Reporting to the Director of People Operations, the People Operations Analyst at Relay Resources will be responsible for providing critical support in two key areas: (1) compensation analytical and administrative support, ensuring fair and consistent compensation practices, and (2) reporting and analysis of Human Resources Information System (HRIS) data to inform decision-making and improve HR processes. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of HR data, delivering insights for compensation strategies, and supporting the overall efficiency of People Operations at Relay Resources.

Salary: $90,000-$96,000, DOE
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
40% HRIS Analysis
- Support Relay’s business units to generate regular and ad-hoc reports from the HRIS to provide insights on workforce metrics, HR operations and related programs like Compensation and Benefits.
- Create and maintain HR metrics to analyze data and identify trends and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
- Conducting audits on HR processes and documents (e.g., hiring, termination, payroll administration) as needed.
- Facilitate process simplification /solutions for issues that surface through audits
- Ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Work with Business units to understand requirements from HRIS.
- Partner with HRIS Administrator on business needs for HRIS improvements.
- Support the development, implementation and administration of the HR Technology roadmap with overall Shared Services roadmap.
- Partner with other functional leaders to identify HR business process improvement opportunities based on organizational needs. Take the lead with the HRIS Administrator to design, configure, test and implementation of changes/updates.
- Work to develop and deliver training, user procedures, guidelines and documentation to People Operations and Disability Inclusion and end-users on functionalities and updates.
- Partner with HRIS Admin on mass data and file updates, conversions, and compliance updates.
30% Compensation Analysis
- Functional responsibility for Compensation.
- Design, develop, implement and administer base pay compensation for union and non-union direct labor and indirect population plans
- Perform job evaluations, market pricing, internal equity analysis and evaluation of FLSA exemption status.
- Conduct compensation analysis market research by participating in salary surveys and/or using tools like PayScale.
- Modify salary structure and guidelines from time to time to meet needs of the organization and ensure continuous improvement in workflow simplification
- Provide support with job offers, finance accruals, budget, internal equity reviews, severance/separations and re-organizations.
- Provide consultative assistance to Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, HR Business Partners, and Management.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to compensation.
- Conduct analyses related to cost and trends and providing analytical data management support for measurement and tracking of key compensation metrics. Develop techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting data to management.
- Facilitate the administration of annual compensation program events, which may include merit adjustments and collective bargaining agreements (CBA).
- May be responsible for design and administration of other variable pay programs.
20% Project Management
- Support People Operations (HR) in consolidating R: drive files into the People Operation’s SharePoint folders.
- Administer People Operations (HR) SharePoint, ensuring that files are efficiently organized and up-to-date, incorporating files into HRIS application, when possible.
- Maintain People Operations (HR) SharePoint links to the Relay Resources Main
- May lead and manage HRIS and Compensation related projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- May collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure successful system integrations and updates.
10% Other Duties as Assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems or related field preferred.
- 4+ years of experience and knowledge in HRIS administration and compensation analysis and management.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams and SharePoint) and other data management and analysis tools.
- Ability to keep information confidential.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- UKG Ready expertise that is a must.
- Ability to both consult and design solutions for data reporting and can assist Function Leads to identify data required to support their lines of business/function key performance indicators, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to use good judgement and discretion with confidential and sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
- Strong service orientation to create and maintain an exceptional and inclusive employee experience through process improvement.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, and manage multiple projects with shifting priorities to meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain effective relationship management across all levels and function in the organization and with external partners.
