John joined the Motus team in 2018 with over a decade of experience in recruiting. Using advanced researching skills in diversity recruiting, and passive candidates, he is experienced in identifying and recruiting top talent for the full lifecycle of executive recruiting. John’s expertise is in relationship building and pipeline development. He executes best hiring practices by submitting quality resumes for executive level IT, finance, and human resources positions. John also has extensive sales and business development experience while managing, leading, advising teams, and placing candidates in the C-Suite level.
John’s motivation to join the recruiting industry came in the aftermath of the stock market crash of 2008. He managed artists and played in bands while utilizing his sales and recruiting skills in the insurance industry. Recognizing his computer science background, he was recruited to be a sourcer, and eventually became a senior technical recruiter in Silicon Valley for a staffing firm. One of the aspects he would like to fix about his industry is the perception of who recruiters are and what they really do for their clients. “I love building relationships, and being an integral, positive part of a process where opportunities to all groups are represented equally – and be the catalyst in their job search.”
Along with connecting people with opportunities, he also enjoys drumming, cooking, attending concerts, reading, and spending time with family. What inspirational quote moves him forward? “Don’t stop when you are tired. Stop when you are done!”
