IT Asset Analyst
Our client, a leading health care company dedicated to revolutionizing the industry, is looking for an IT Asset Analyst for their Portland, OR location. In this role, you will proactively manage corporate assets and non-technology investments in order to improve productivity, maximize return on investment for technology assets and to reduce costs. Responsible for the day-to-day administration and management of all IT assets through the asset lifecycle. Includes the creation of management to and reporting on policies and procedures for IT Asset Management. Responsible for defining lease/buy strategies and models for hardware and software. Salary Range: $100,000 – $125,000 annually, based on candidates experience level.

Key Responsibilities for IT Asset Analyst:
- Responsible for hardware asset tracking to include the receiving, tagging, scanning/tracking, reconciliation, and disposal.
- Responsible for software to include the renewal and retirement, tracking annual spend, and identity of areas for savings.
- Coordinates Asset Management activities in accordance with IT policies, procedures, and standards across multiple locations.
- Supports the process to reduce, minimize and eliminate redundant assets/products
- Responsible for quality and continuous improvement within the job scope.
- Participates in processes, procedures, standards, tools, strategies, and policies to enable and optimize the asset management life cycle (planning, acquisition, delivery, deployment, management, control, and disposition).
- Follows asset control and inventory management process to track accountability, identification, location, maintenance, and life cycle status.
- Communicates the appropriate policies and procedures for asset acquisition, preservation and protection, deployment, technology refresh and disposition.
- Participate in the coordination of purchase and lease vendor relationships.
- Participate in the Asset Management process and procedures to ensure compliance with all software licensing agreements and software usage.
- Participate in the implementation cost effective changes in hardware and software based on analysis of current and future needs.
- Participate in activities in conjunction with procurement, other IT groups and legal in reviewing of proposals for acquiring hardware and software.

- Works closely with internal and external Auditors, finance, all business areas, and other IT groups specifically with regards to managing activities to analyze proposals and vendor contracts with regards to the acquisition of software resources. Makes recommendations as to the selection of vendors and/or software.
- Responsible for hardware asset tracking to include the receiving, tagging, scanning/tracking, reconciliation, and disposal. Recommends how and when to dispose of the assets.
- Responsible for software to include the renewal and retirement, tracking annual spend, and identity of areas for savings. Makes recommendations and assists in the decision to renew or retire software.
- Develops and continually refines software license compliance and reuse process. Negotiates with user to determine when software can be reused versus purchased new.
- Determines when assets/products are redundant and should be eliminated or reduced.
- Establishes and maintains chargeback and inventory control processes.
- Plans, directs, and coordinates Asset Management activities in accordance with RITS policies, procedures, and standards across multiple locations.
- Implements and manages processes, procedures, tools, standards, strategies, and policies to enable and optimize the asset management life cycle (planning, acquisition, delivery, deployment, management, control, and disposition).
- Maintains asset control and inventory management process to track accountability, identification, location, maintenance, and life cycle status.
- Develops, implements, and communicates policies and procedures for asset acquisition, preservation and protection, deployment, technology refresh and disposition.
- Participates in the negotiation of license agreements. Determines the budget target and options available for negotiation.
- Selects, designs, and implements process and procedures to ensure compliance with all software licensing agreements and software usage.
- Implements cost effective changes in hardware and software based on analysis of current and future needs.
- Participates in the negotiation of license agreements

- Manages the lifecycle of all IT assets. Implement and manage processes, procedures, tools, standards, strategies, and policies to enable and optimize the asset management life cycle (planning, acquisition, delivery, deployment, management, control, and disposition).

- Creates short- and long-range forecasts for the IT Infrastructure organization.

- Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.
Requirements/Qualifications for IT Asset Analyst:
- Must have Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, Finance, Business or related field and 10 years broad experience in IT, Finance or Process Improvement and at least seven years’ experience in asset management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated analytic ability to see trends and suggest changes.
- Ability to prioritize and handle concurrent tasks. This includes demonstrated organization skills and ability to perform duties with little supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels management, team members, coworkers, support groups, and end-users.
- Demonstrated understanding of software business issues, including software contracts, software licensing mechanisms, and supplier sales and marketing tactics.
- Ability to work closely with internal and external auditors, finance, all business areas, and other IT groups.
- Demonstrated solid project management skills, effectively managing multiple small to large work efforts in a cross functional environment.
- Demonstrated strong project management skills, effectively managing multiple medium to large work efforts in a cross functional environment.
- Demonstrated analytic ability to perform complex analysis for strategic and operating plans.
- Demonstrated complete understanding of the ITIL framework.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing with upper-level management.
