Director of Accounting
Our publicly traded client is looking to recruit a Director of Accounting. You will work with multiple business partners across different functions with a global footprint.

The Director of Accounting will be responsible for managing company's accounting policies, procedures, and positions on a range of technical accounting topics, including the implementation and compliance with new accounting standards. This will include maintaining an inventory of position papers and working with the business and accounting team to ensure continued compliance with accounting policies and also includes ensuring that changes to the business that impact our accounting are addressed timely. Furthermore, the role will include a need for research and development of new accounting positions based on new transactions encountered by the organization including revenue recognition model of new products. You will also be the main point of contact in supporting M&A transactions including due diligence, valuation and purchase accounting.

This role will also be responsible to facilitate the education and training of the accounting team and broader finance organization on technical accounting matters.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 10 + years of experience between a mix of public accounting and technical accounting in a managerial position
• CPA required
• SOX implementation skills a must
• Experience writing technical memos
• Outstanding leadership skills
• Possess excellent presentation and communication skills
• Have a strong technical accounting background with a thorough knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, as well as experience with technical research and preparation of accounting memos
