Our client, a leading drive-through coffee chain provider, is looking for a Software Development Manager for their Grant Pass, Oregon location. In this role, you will lead a robust team of full-stack developers. They excel in process and people management and do so by collaborating with IT Project Managers in agile, scrum development methodologies. They serve their team with a people-first approach to coaching and mentoring, ensuring the team has the resources and training necessary to succeed. The Software Development Manager is responsible for code and architecture reviews and translating data into reports for their leadership.
Salary Range: $136,000 - $156,000

Key Responsibilities for Software Development Manager:
- Develop direct reports in supporting our standards within the web development environment
- Clearly communicate job expectations to employees
- Appraise employee performance on a regularly scheduled basis
- Provide creative vision and manage the planning and implementation of web-based applications
- Develop architecture for user-interface applications and back-end databases using various programming and scripting languages
- Work with RESTful (and other APIs) with third parties
- Coordinate and communicate cross-functional activities among various internal teams regarding bringing new applications online
- Oversee application coding and provide technical expertise and mentoring to other developers
- Increase online exposure through search engine optimization best practices
- Create prototypes and functional specifications for software projects
- Create technical methodologies for engineering solutions to web-based development problems
- Determine browser inconsistencies and develop methods for overcoming them
Requirements/Qualifications for Software Development Manager:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering or a related field, or 4 additional years of relevant experience, required
- 5+ years of related, multi-platform, expert-level experience with business and technical applications including at least 2 years supervising/managing a team(s)
- Experience with large-scale, external-facing web/mobile applications
- Experience in Python, Java, JavaScript, CSS
- Proficiency in Web Services (SOAP, REST, GRAPHQL), SOA concepts, Web Front End and Batch programming
- Experience in SQL Server platforms MySQL, Postgres, or other RDBMS
- Ability to translate technical requirements for business and client needs
- Comfort with troubleshooting roles; ability to provide troubleshooting support and mentor others
