Insurance Data Specialist – Utilities Sector!

Our client, an energy supplier and community leader, is looking for an Insurance Specialist for their Sherwood, OR location. In this role, you will provide support for the company’s insurance, surety bonds, and certificate of insurance processes by gathering critical data, managing renewal applications, and assisting with underwriting submissions. You will collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and brokers to ensure timely and accurate insurance reporting and compliance. Pay: 38.00 – 44.00 hourly, DOE

Key Responsibilities of the Insurance Data Specialist:
  • Create, track, and maintain insurance renewal forms and online applications.
  • Analyze and enter insurance data, issue certificates of insurance.
  • Research and compile information for underwriting and insurance submissions.
  • Manage data entry, binder, and policy documents using SharePoint.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, and brokers to secure insurance information.
  • Compile Certificate of Insurance (COI) terms, limits, endorsements, and named insureds for projects, events, and compliance.
  • Assist with scheduling broker open items, market updates, and quote reviews.
  • Collect and document real property replacement values for the property insurance program.
  • Gather vehicle VINs, licensing, and location data for fleet insurance coverage.
  • Support data integration into Riskonnect RIM’s Program.
  • Assist the Manager with special projects and provide cross-coverage for other staff as needed.

Qualifications of the Insurance Data Specialist:
  • 3+ years of experience in insurance administration, risk management support, or a related field.
  • Experience managing high volumes of insurance renewal forms, preferably within larger companies.
  • Previous experience with insurance documentation, renewals, certificates of insurance, and underwriting support.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel for tracking purposes).
  • Familiarity with SharePoint for document and data management.
  • Experience with Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS) — Riskonnect RIMs experience is a plus but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for internal and external collaboration.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and adaptable.
