Organizational Change Management Specialist
Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to helping utility customers in Oregon and Washington save energy and benefit from renewable power, is seeking an Organizational Change Management Specialist to join their collaborative team!
In this role, you’ll support meaningful, enterprise-wide initiatives that span process improvements, system changes, cultural shifts, and team transitions. As part of a small but strategic Organizational Development team, you’ll work closely with project managers and other internal stakeholders to implement thoughtful, people-centered change strategies that drive positive outcomes and enhance service delivery.
Type: Contract Only
Duration: 5 Months (Has the potential of extending but not guaranteed)
Pay Range: $31.44 - $38.70
Location: Portland, Oregon (Mostly Remote!)

Responsibilities for the Organizational Change Management Specialist:
- Serve as the change management lead on cross-functional project teams, partnering with project managers and internal stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.
- Assess stakeholder impacts and develop tailored change management plans.
- Implement change management action items aligned with project goals.
- Create clear and engaging communications and training materials.
- Monitor progress toward desired outcomes and adjust strategies as needed.
- Provide backup support to the Change Management Specialist as required.
- Support large-scale, organization-wide change initiatives in collaboration with the Organizational Development team.
- Schedule and co-facilitate team meetings and workshops.
- Conduct and summarize stakeholder interviews (“voice of the customer”).
- Design, administer, and analyze custom surveys to inform change strategies.
- Draft internal documentation including communications, team agreements, and process documents.
- Maintain and update intranet content using MS SharePoint.
- Conduct research on organizational development topics and summarize findings.
Qualifications for the Organizational Change Management Specialist:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in relevant roles such as change management, organizational development, learning and development, communications, or project management.
- Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale organizational change initiatives impacting multiple teams or functional areas.
- Working knowledge of the Prosci/ADKAR change management framework.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across departments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint; experience with survey tools is a plus.
