Our client, an innovative organization that is making a positive impact on the lives of community members impacted by the criminal justice system, is looking for a Data Manager for their Portland, OR location. The Data Manager will work collaboratively with Executive Leadership, Data Analysts, Data Manager, Program Manager, and staff to ensure the delivery of services designed to improve outcomes for system-impacted families, adults, and children. You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to further the mission of our client.
This role is open to either Contract-to-Hire (6-months to start) or Direct Hire. It is a hybrid role that may require in-state travel and overnight stays.
Responsibilities for Data Manager:
- Serve as database & forms administrator. Maintain and work to improve the agency documents and necessary updates to collect accurate and relevant data.
- Manage the collection and evaluation of data.
- Maintain high standards for data integrity and confidentiality.
- Oversee and support timely responses to data requests.
- Develop new programs, forms, data tracking systems and workflows in the agency database.
- Identify, implement, and evaluate program assessment tools.
- Monitor the analysis and reporting of performance data and program outcomes.
- Work with the data team to visualize performance data to share with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop, review, revise and sustain agency performance management system.
- Develop and maintain performance dashboards and scorecards.
- Be a champion in the shaping and sustaining of a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and just workplace, with a focus towards creating racial equity.
- Participate in cross-departmental teams or committees regarding organizational policies, processes, and work environment.
Requirements for Data Manager:
- Five years program management and service delivery experience, preferably in a corrections or nonprofit setting.
- Bachelor’s Degree in data science, business, social sciences, or other related fields.
- Five years of experience managing data, reporting and analytic efforts, including experience managing databases.
- Advanced level experience with database (Access, Web-based, etc.) and spreadsheets (Excel) Preferred (SQL, Word Processing, Power point, Publisher, G-suite, etc.).
- Ability to analyze large data sets, troubleshoot, and ensure quality of data.
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management and ability to manage projects with competing deadlines.
- Experience in project or program management.
- Experience in grant and contract reporting.
- Experience in leading and facilitating meetings.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow through with assignments to completion.
