Senior Business Analyst
Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for a Business Analyst for their Vancouver, Washington location. This role supports the organization by analyzing and developing program plans, policies, standards, and training materials. Responsibilities include data analysis, SharePoint administration, drafting business requirements, and contributing to change management initiatives. Pay Range: $55.00 – 60.00 , DOE
Location: Vancouver, Washington – HYBRID – 6-days per month onsite.
Key Responsibilities for Business Analyst:
- Gather and analyze data to identify inefficiencies, document current and future state processes, and develop solution alternatives that align with organizational goals.
- Plan and facilitate workshops or working sessions to map processes, identify gaps, and propose actionable improvements. Drive alignment across stakeholders through collaborative problem-solving.
- Develop and draft comprehensive business documentation, including policies, procedures, standards, and training materials. Create visual tools like process maps, workflow diagrams, and organizational charts to support process understanding and consistency. Facilitate knowledge transfer to ensure continuity in business operations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for process improvement and data analysis projects. Collaborate with project stakeholders, providing clear communication and updates to ensure alignment and progress.
- Support management in developing and implementing change management plans, including communication, training, and organizational adoption strategies. Identify and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Create and maintain performance metrics to assess the efficiency of processes and initiatives. Develop management reporting tools, such as dashboards and presentations, to provide insights and track the progress of key projects.
- Administer and maintain SharePoint sites, including permissions management, content updates, and troubleshooting. Liaise with IT to ensure optimal functionality and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Ensure documentation and records are maintained in compliance with INFOSEC and IGLM standards, validating audit-readiness, accuracy, and access controls.
Requirements for Business Analyst:
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, business management, computer science, engineering studies (or closely related field) is preferred.
- 8 years of experience is required with an applicable bachelor’s degree.
- 10 years of experience is required with an applicable associate degree.
- 12 years of experience is required without a degree or applicable degree.
- Experience should be consistent with the specific requirements of business and operations analysis and progressively more technical in nature.
- 5 years of experience applying process improvement and optimization efforts across multiple business units.
- Demonstrated analytical, modeling, and process management expertise sufficient to support the development and improvement of applicable processes.
- Demonstrated experience leading business process implementation is required.
- Skill in developing data analysis and associated reports and presentation materials.
- Advanced knowledge and skills with MS Office Suite products such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Proficient in communication, facilitation, and negotiation with stakeholder groups.
- Proven skills in process analysis, re-engineering, and optimization.
- Strong technical writing skills and the ability to present information in various forms such as textual, graphical, and statistical.
- Skill in modeling and verification of business process requirements and deliverables.
