Content Writer
Our client, a cutting-edge technology company that provides cloud-based archiving and compliance solutions, is looking for a Content Writer for their SMB Business Unit. In this role, you will help develop and execute engaging content strategies that drive business growth, generate Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs), and increase the sales pipeline. Pay Rate or Range: $40.87 – $48.08
Location: Hybrid (M,W,TH) in Portland, Oregon OR Atlanta, Georgia
Contract: 6 Months (Benefits Eligible)
Key Responsibilities for Content Writer:
- Collaborate with the SMB marketing team and creative staff to develop and execute content strategies that drive business growth, generate Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs), and increase the sales pipeline.
- Produce high-quality writing that connects with target audiences, boosts engagement, and enhances brand awareness.
- Create and produce various types of content including guides, infographics, email marketing campaigns, website copy, blog posts, social media posts, and product descriptions.
- Promote the organization’s mission and vision through clear, compelling content.
- Generate pitches based on current events and market trends to support marketing initiatives.
- Increase website traffic by applying SEO best practices and optimizing content for search engines.
- Complete writing assignments within project specifications and deadlines, ensuring accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Market products and services through diverse content formats, including blog posts, guides, ebooks, infographics, and email campaigns.
- Utilize a data-driven approach to analyze content performance and assess effectiveness in increasing website traffic, content downloads, form fills, and MQLs.
- Experiment with new content formats and distribution methods to continuously improve engagement and conversion rates.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements/Qualifications for Content Writer:
- 4+ years of content writing experience, with a preference for experience in Business-to-Business (B2B) contexts; experience in financial services is a plus.
- Understanding of technical information and terminology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging marketing content.
- Experience using AI-powered writing tools such as ChatGPT, Grammarly, Jasper, etc.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices for AI-generated content.
- Experience with CRM software, including Salesforce or Marketo.
- Experience with AI marketing tools like 6Sense or similar platforms.
- Experience with WordPress or other Content Management Systems (CMS).
- Experience with SEMrush or similar SaaS platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience with Marketo is highly preferred; other marketing automation tools are also acceptable.
