Treasury & Investor Relations Manager – DIRECT HIRE!
Our client, a leading energy supplier and community-focused utility, is seeking a Treasury & Investor Relations Manager for their Portland, Oregon headquarters. This newly created role reflects the company’s rapid growth across its four business segments, including recent expansions into water and gas utilities. The position will be pivotal in managing investor communications, ensuring transparency, and fostering trust in the company’s financial performance and corporate strategy. Additionally, the role will oversee treasury projects, including debt offerings, cash management, and equity strategies. The ideal candidate is a highly communicative and financially savvy leader with 6-10 years of experience in investor relations, treasury management, and financial modeling. Public company experience, particularly in debt capital markets and issuing debts preferred.
Base salary range: $120,450.00 – $171,650.00 per year, depending on qualifications
Location: Portland, Oregon – HYBRID, 3-5 days a week in office.
Key Responsibilities for Treasury & Investor Relations Manager:
- Develop and implement investor relations strategies.
- Manage communication with existing and potential investors, including institutional investors and analysts.
- Prepare and disseminate financial reports, earnings releases, and other investor communications.
- Coordinate and support quarterly earnings calls, investor meetings, and shareholder events.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and investor feedback.
- Collaborate with the finance, legal, and executive teams to align investor relations activities with corporate goals.
- Manage treasury team activities including daily cash flows, at-the-market equity issuances, and commercial paper borrowings.
- Manage banking relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Responsible for overseeing cash forecasting, including working with the forecast and budgeting department on cash balances and interest expense.
- Oversee short-term investment activities for excess cash.
- Optimize cash across all lines of business.
- Prepare treasury reports for financial reporting and senior management to provide insights into liquidity and interest costs.
- Manage debt obligations and covenant compliance.
- Ad-hoc finance projects and analysis
- Recommend, implement and maintain process improvements including automation.

- This position requires travel approximately 1-2 times each quarter for investor meetings.
Requirements/Qualifications for Treasury & Investor Relations Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting or related fields.
- 6-10 years of experience in investor relations, finance, treasury, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, capital market analysis, financial modeling and forecasting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency in treasury management systems, excel, PowerPoint, and other financial software. SAP experience is a plus.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills to handle multiple deadlines/priorities without compromising attention to detail and deliverables. Utility experience preferred.
- Professional certification (e.g., CTP, CFA, CPA) is a plus.
