As our designated Motus Happiness Champion, Emma makes sure everyone – from our recruiters to our candidates – has the best working experience possible. She develops strategy to increase efficiencies and promote a strong team culture. Emma has about a decade of experience working in human resources in various industries. She says she was drawn to the opportunity recruiting and staffing offers to develop knowledge about a wide array of industries and business models, as well as the opportunity to help those looking to advance their career. “It is a great privilege to be even a small step in a candidate’s journey to ultimately finding a position they’re excited about.” Emma has a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management and in Business Administration and Management from Portland State University.

When Emma isn’t enriching the lives of others, she’s doing anything she can to spend quality time with her husband Tucker, and their two Golden Retrievers, Norman and Harry. She also loves reading, mini golf, and going to the Oregon Coast (likely with Norman and Harry). Her favorite podcast is My Favorite Murder, and while it’s hard to choose a favorite book, Emma loves reading anything that challenges her way of thinking and anything around WWII. Fun fact: before the age of 11, Emma had lived in Texas, Austria, and Egypt before ultimately landing in Alaska. “Moving so much as a kid instilled in me a deep love for travel and exploring other cultures!”
