Jessica describes herself as “The Renaissance Lady of Administration.” Before joining Motus, Jessica spent eight years working in Los Angeles at an online company facilitating the casting process between casting directors, talent representatives, and actors. Additionally, she wore many hats working as the Administrative Support Specialist at the nonprofit Quest Center for Integrative Health in Portland for over a year. Quest is a nonprofit behavioral and physical health organization that mainly provides services to communities that are low-income, living with HIV, and/or LGBTQIA2S+. While her original goal was to continue working in the medical industry, Motus convinced Jessica to join the recruiting industry by showing how fulfilling it can be to advocate for both candidates and clients through the job search process.
Outside of work, Jessica enjoys dancing at silent discos, trying new spots to eat, exploring Oregon’s hiking trails, spending time with family and friends, and playing hide and seek with her cat. For her top three books, she loves the Outlander series, Harry Potter, and any book series written by Charlaine Harris. When seeking inspiration, Jessica often turns to her favorite Glennon Doyle quote: “A good day is a good day. A bad day is a good story. At the end of the day, it’s all good.”
What does she think sets Motus apart? “Everyone at Motus is genuine, empathetic, helpful, and passionate. I always feel supported and welcome. I’m proud knowing we treat our clients the same way.”
