Senior Operations Analyst
Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for a Senior Operations Analyst for their Vancouver, Washington location. This position will provide high-level support and assistance to an operational technology organization within a large energy provider. This role will work closely with technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and internal customers to develop and implement strategies that ensure reliable and secure operations. Key responsibilities include assisting in the creation of service and asset strategies, offering input on operational and business development initiatives, and driving key strategic projects in alignment with organizational priorities. The position will also collaborate with leadership, security, compliance teams, and business functions to facilitate the analysis, development, and execution of critical processes and procedures. Due to the critical nature of this role, this is a full-time onsite position.

Key Responsibilities for Senior Operations Analyst:
- Apply industry frameworks (e.g., ITIL, NIST, LEAN, ISO) and regulatory standards to support strategic efforts, ensuring compliance with security requirements.
- Conduct interviews and research to translate business needs into strategic initiatives, documenting system dependencies, functionality, and business processes.
- Identify and address gaps or duplications in system ownership, collaborating with management to present recommendations for service strategies and long-term goals.
- Collaborate with consultants on asset management and workforce modernization, providing research and documentation.
- Develop strategies, frameworks, and models, facilitating risk management and organizing ad hoc teams for strategic initiatives.
- Define metrics for service delivery and asset management, identifying process improvement opportunities and documenting system changes.
- Work with management and technical experts to enhance policies, processes, and reengineering efforts. Manage small projects, overseeing scope, timeline, and resources.
- Prepare reports and recommendations to improve business efficiency and customer service.
- Provide budget support, conduct analysis, and assist in system requirements evaluations.
- Document key technical interactions, track business objectives, and support Organizational Change Management by documenting and recommending process and technology changes.
- Maintain open communication with leadership, SMEs, and teams, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure document management compliance, marking and filing records in line with organizational standards.
- A degree in in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, and Computer Science or a directly related discipline (or closely related field) is preferred.
- With an applicable Bachelor degree, 8 years of experience is required.
- With an applicable Associates degree, 10 years of experience is required.
- Without an applicable degree, 12 years of experience is required.
- Experience should be consistent with the specific requirements of business or operations analysis and progressively more technical in nature.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite products, including Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
- Technical interviewing skills: Proficient in functional and process interviewing in a business environment, with the ability to facilitate group sessions for process design and requirements gathering.
- Possess analytical skills to analyze data, identify quality assurance/quality control issues, and identify failure or maintenance trends.
- Prior work experience implementing Lean Office or Lean Manufacturing principles is highly desired
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation Certification preferred.
- Experience working in an electric utility sector control center is highly desired.
- Experience in asset management is highly desired.
- Experience in leadership is highly desired.
- Experience with MS Project and SharePoint.
- Experience with modeling of requirements, verification of deliverables.
- Familiarity with business modeling and enterprise architecture frameworks.
