Graphic Designer
Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for a Graphic Designer for their Portland, Oregon location. In this role you will assist leadership in communicating policies, programs, and actions while informing both internal stakeholders and the external public about the organization’s mission and activities.

Key Responsibilities for Graphic Designer:
- Perform graphic design and layout using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat Pro.
- Conceptualize, create, produce, and deliver graphic products, including: brochures, publications, reports, posters, flyers, promotional and educational materials, certificates, signage, exhibits/displays, presentations/slides, display ads, webpage design, infographics, social media content.
- Produce graphics compatible with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Draft illustrations, charts, and graphs for publications or presentations.
- Create web layouts, buttons, and animations; modify images for online use.
- Evaluate graphic design requests and collaborate with clients to identify solutions.
- Use graphic design tools to create high-quality, professional visual products.
- Photograph events or individuals for use in publications or presentations.
- Complete production tasks, such as cutting, mounting, folding, and framing.
- Prepare products for outside printing, troubleshoot files, and manage print shop coordination.
- Ensure visual products align with branding standards, visual guidelines, and policies.
- Educate staff and clients about visual standards and proper logo usage.
- Review and flag branding concerns or violations, suggesting remedies.
- Support updates to branding policies, standards, and visual guidelines.
- Participate in quality assurance reviews of graphic materials.
- Keep stakeholders informed about project statuses.
- Contribute to department meetings, events, and campaigns, including planning and photography.
- Collaborate on special projects and tasks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act for all printed and digital content.
- Serve as lead coordinator for the Administrator’s Excellence Awards events:
- Organize and lead planning meetings.
- Update event planning materials.
- Develop and review communications and promotional materials.
- Coordinate event logistics, including staffing, security, and production.
- Maintain records and filing systems in compliance with organizational standards.
Requirements/Qualification for Graphic Designer:
- A bachelor’s degree in graphic design is preferred.
- 6 years of experience is required.
- Experience should be in graphic design, commercial art production, or a directly related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
