Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for a Data Steward for their Vancouver, Washington location. This position will involve general data and document management, integrity, review, compliance, and reporting to facilitate strategic resourcing of all capital projects.
This position is a one-year renewable contract that includes employee benefits!
Pay: $49.00/hr. - $53.00/hr. DOE.
Location: Vancouver, WA.

Key Responsibilities for Data Steward:
- Perform manual data entry into relational database from electronic records.
- Manage centralized mail inbox and distribute communications accordingly.
- Manage the AVED incident list.
- Research missing data points and data quality issues in various electronic records locations to locate missing data or to correct inconsistencies.
- Provide maintenance, track, and report for a variety of organizational databases; produce routine, management, and ad hoc reports as requested.
- Coordinate reporting needs with Business Analysts.
- Assist agency Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to draft, write, and recommend business data rules.
- Provide input and recommendations for potential process / procedural improvements.
- Assist the manager and staff to draft Standard Operating Procedures, governance, and internal control procedures as changes and processes occur; assist and promote implementation of management-approved process and procedural changes.
- Draft data dictionary by analyzing data, maintaining spreadsheet(s), and drafting procedural documents as requested.
- Provide data management support to team members as requested by the manager, which may include training and assist with use of technology, disseminating procedural change information, etc.
- Create monthly data compliance reporting communications.
- Mark documents and maintain filing system(s), files, emails and records in accordance with compliance requirements.
- Validate official records are accurately maintained for auditing purposes.
- Conduct an annual review and inventory of official files and maintain the organizational file outline
- Scheduling and attending of meetings, preparing agendas and transcription.
- BA degree in data management, data analytics, computer science, or related technical field preferred.
- 1 year of experience in data management, data analysis, or similar field is required.
- 2 years of relevant work experience in administrative support functions.
- 2 years of experience in a technical environment involving data analysis or a similar field.
- 2 years of experience analyzing and documenting large volumes of technical data.
