Clinical Intake Analyst I
Our client, a leading health care company dedicated to revolutionizing the industry, is looking for a remote Clinical Intake Analyst. In this role, you will provide serve as the initial point of receipt for all incoming work for the Clinical Service Operations teams, including documents related to Utilization Management, Care Management, Disease Management, and Appeals. The role is responsible for managing the timeliness and organization of work received through various channels, ensuring HIPAA and privacy standards are met, and utilizing knowledge to triage and determine the appropriate assignment for incoming work. Schedule Notes: This role may require weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday). If assigned to the weekend shift, the candidate will have flexibility to choose two days during the week off.
Pay Rate: $20.00/HR
Location: Remote (Candidates must reside in one of our clients operating states: Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or Utah)
Contract Duration: 6 Month Contract to hire! Benefits Eligible

Key Responsibilities for Clinical Intake Analyst:
- Utilize appropriate tools and systems to research and process incoming documents related to utilization management (UM), case management (CM), disease management (DM), provider and member appeals.
- Apply knowledge of member benefits, UM, CM, DM, and appeals to correctly identify work types and assign them to the appropriate workflow processes.
- Manage work volumes efficiently, ensuring that tasks are completed within required timeframes.
- Image documentation in compliance with HIPAA and privacy laws.
- Handle high volumes of inquiries daily, multitasking and prioritizing when necessary.
- Ensure adherence to departmental standards for quality, timeliness, and processes.
- Provide support for urgent/expedited appeals during long weekends to meet Performance Guarantees.
- Perform basic administrative tasks, including requesting maintenance for office equipment, maintaining inventory, and assisting with mailing correspondence.
- High School Diploma or GED and general office experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
- Effective communication and basic writing skills.
- General computer knowledge (Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet search).
- General organizational, data entry, and administrative skills.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology, health care benefits, systems, and documentation.
- Ability to evaluate clinical documents and forward to appropriate parties for resolution.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, retain and interpret new or evolving information and processes.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize work, meet deadlines, and achieve operational standards.
- Ability to work overtime when needed.
- Strong independence and self-management skills.
- Punctuality and consistent attendance are essential.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy preferred.
- Previous professional experience in health insurance or within a provider/medical office (scheduling, front office, etc.) preferred.
