This temp-to-hire role is central to fostering and managing dynamic partnerships that enhance programming and support community engagement across the organization. From coordinating the logistics of KairosPDX’s Community Action Sessions (CAS) to building long-term relationships with nonprofits, businesses, and educational partners, this position blends strategic coordination with hands-on execution. - Location: Portland, OR 97217 (FULLY ONSITE)
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
- Pay Range: $27.12 - $35.97 / Hour (Depending on Experience)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate all aspects of the Community Action Sessions (CAS) including scheduling, logistics, partner collaboration, and material preparation.
- Recruit, support, and manage CAS partners in collaboration with the Partnership Coordinator.
- Develop and implement CAS programming that aligns with organizational values and enhances student experiences.
- Track, manage, and report CAS-related data, including evaluations, communications (mailing, email, phone calls), and grant-related information.
- Lead the CAS evaluation and feedback process, using insights to continuously improve program offerings.
- Identify, vet, and engage new partners aligned with KairosPDX’s mission across education, advocacy, and community sectors.
- Coordinate the full partnership lifecycle—from initial outreach and development through implementation and impact reporting.
- Cultivate long-term relationships with nonprofit, business, and corporate partners to support sustained volunteerism and investment.
- Represent KairosPDX at community and partner events, building visibility and collaborative opportunities.
- Manage and maintain the partner database, ensuring accurate tracking of engagement, touchpoints, and investment history.
- Collaborate with the Development and Grants team to identify funding opportunities, support grant proposals, and manage partnership-related data.
- Support in-kind donations and corporate contributions, ensuring proper documentation and relationship follow-up.
- Work with teaching teams to align partnerships with grade-level objectives and design year-over-year student experiences.
- Develop and implement intake procedures to manage the volume and quality of incoming partner relationships.
- Provide regular reporting to leadership, including monthly partnership updates and insights on engagement trends.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required.
- 3–5 years of experience working in a school, nonprofit, or community-based setting (5+ years preferred).
- Must possess strong project or program management experience.
- Proven success in expanding program reach and impact by cultivating and maintaining strategic partnerships with community organizations, schools, and service providers.
- Proven experience as an administrative coordinator or in a similar role involving cross-functional collaboration and program support.
- Demonstrated ability to manage data entry and generate reports using a CRM or donor database system (e.g., Salesforce, ZOHO Desk, Little Green Light).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal staff, corporate partners, funders, volunteers, and vendors.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the agility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High tolerance for ambiguity and adaptability to shifting priorities and responsibilities.
- Deep commitment to KairosPDX’s mission, values, and equity-centered approach; cultural competency and anti-racist practices are essential.
