HRIS Coordinator – UKG READY (Portland, OR - HYBRID)
Our client, a respected local nonprofit organization, is seeking a tech-savvy and detail-focused HRIS Coordinator to join their HR team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in mission-driven environments and excels at turning HR data into actionable insights. The successful candidate will be instrumental in navigating and optimizing the UKG Ready platform supporting both implementation and ongoing system enhancements while driving efficiencies in reporting, dashboard creation, and process tracking. This position requires a blend of hands-on HRIS expertise and collaborative problem-solving, with an emphasis on supporting inclusive hiring practices and union-represented recruitment.
Location: Portland, OR (Hybrid - 3 days/week in office required)
Contract Duration: 6+ months, depending on performance and workload
Hourly Rate: $38.00/hr.

Key Responsibilities of HRIS Coordinator – UKG Ready
- Serve as the primary point of contact for UKG Ready system navigation, reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Partner with HR leadership to design and implement custom dashboards, analytics, and tracking tools that improve decision-making and operational transparency.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define role requirements and implement effective recruitment workflows in UKG Ready.
- Ensure system data integrity through regular audits, compliance checks, and process improvements.
- Monitor labor market trends and nonprofit recruitment best practices to enhance talent acquisition strategies.
- Support general HR functions as needed, adapting to shifting project priorities.
Qualifications of HRIS Coordinator – UKG Ready
- 1+ years - Proven experience coordinating HRIS initiatives, with UKG Ready, including dashboard/report creation and process optimization.
- Track record recruiting for union-represented roles in nonprofit, light industrial, janitorial, or manufacturing environments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate HR data into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
- Prior experience in a mission-driven or nonprofit organization strongly preferred.
