As the Financial Analyst, you’ll serve as a strategic finance partner across departments, providing accurate analysis, clear insights, and tools that support effective decision-making. You’ll help manage and refine our budgeting and forecasting processes, develop key reports and dashboards, and support cross-functional initiatives that drive impact across the organization.
Location: Portland, OR (Hybrid)
Salary: $95k – 105k, DOE

As the Financial Analyst, you’ll serve as a strategic finance partner across departments, providing accurate analysis, clear insights, and tools that support effective decision-making. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the annual budgeting process, partnering with department leaders to gather inputs and validate assumptions.
- Prepare quarterly forecasts and conduct scenario modeling.
- Maintain and improve budget templates, planning tools, and reporting dashboards.
- Conduct monthly budget-to-actual analysis, identify key drivers of variance, and present findings to stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support initiatives and investment decisions.
- Create and distribute internal financial reports and performance scorecards
- Collaborate with Operations, HR, and other departments to understand business trends and recommend data-driven improvements.
- Act as a finance partner to department leaders, supporting initiatives with financial impact analysis.
- Contribute to ongoing enhancements in reporting systems and financial workflows.
- Assist in ERP/reporting tool optimization and data integrity efforts (e.g., NetSuite, Abila, NetSuite Analytics Warehouse).
- Assist with monthly and quarterly financial presentations and board reporting as needed.
- Support financial audits and ensure GAAP-compliant reporting standards are upheld.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 4 – 6 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, or business analysis.
- Demonstrated experience supporting organization-wide budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Experience preparing financial reports, pricing analysis, and variance analyses for departmental or executive review.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and model-building.
- Familiarity with NetSuite ERP is required.
- Ability to work effectively across diverse teams, including operations, program leaders, and administrative functions.
- Strong alignment with the organization’s mission and values, including a commitment to disability inclusion, equity, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to operate with a high degree of accountability and independence in a flexible and remote-friendly environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate financial information into clear, actionable insights.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and/or NetSuite Analytics Warehouse (NSAW) is preferred.
- Exposure to nonprofit or mission-driven organizations is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial data into business insights.
- Experience presenting financial data to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities.
- Knowledge of financial reporting standards and GAAP.
