Temporary Reception & Accounts Payable Coordinator (ONSITE)
Our client, a wire fabrication manufacturer, is seeking a versatile professional to provide temporary support across front office and accounting operations. The position will begin with receptionist/front desk responsibilities and transition into Accounts Payable support in mid-February, with full training provided for both phases. This role is perfect for someone with AP experience who enjoys a customer-facing environment and wants variety in their day-to-day work.
Type: Contract
Duration: Approximately 6 Months
Location: Portland, Oregon – FULLY ONSITE
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $24.00 – 27.00/hr.

Responsibilities for the Receptionist Duties:
- Manage front desk operations, including answering incoming calls and greeting visitors, customers, and delivery personnel.
- Handle daily mail processes—prepare outgoing mail, distribute incoming mail, and manage related documentation.
- Match, scan, and file daily invoice and credit card transaction paperwork.
- Process payments received via phone and email (E-Merchant, Converge/Elavon) and support e-billing submissions (e.g., Coupa, Tesla).
- Assist with scanning and filing for AP, Purchasing, and Receiving documentation.
- Coordinate office supplies, business cards, and freight bill processing.
- Support credit application processing, including credit inquiries and D&B report preparation.
- Provide general clerical and administrative support as needed.
Responsibilities for the Accounts Payable Coordinator Duties:
- Process and enter purchase order and monthly expense invoices.
- Prepare weekly ACH payments and weekly check runs.
- Respond to vendor inquiries by phone and email in a timely, professional manner.
- Partner with Purchasing and Receiving teams to resolve invoice and PO discrepancies.
- Review and reconcile the unvouchered PO report.
Qualifications for the Receptionist & Accounts Payable Coordinator:
- 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
- Manufacturing AP experience strongly preferred (POs, BOLs, inventory, shipping/receiving).
- Comfortable balancing customer-facing and back-office responsibilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-moving environment.
- Professional communication and phone etiquette.
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Experience with ERP or accounting software is a plus.
