Recruiting Coordinator – Nonprofit!
Our client is a mission-driven, enterprise-level nonprofit organization dedicated to creating meaningful, inclusive employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. They are seeking a Recruiting Coordinator to support recruiting and onboarding operations through strong administrative, systems, and coordination support. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about creating accessible and equitable hiring experiences while supporting recruiters, hiring managers, and HR partners behind the scenes.
Type: Contract-to-Hire! (Duration 3-to-6 months before conversion to FTE)
Work Model: Hybrid (onsite at least 3 days per week)
Pay: $25.50/hour (DOE)

Key Responsibilities of the Recruiting Coordinator:
- Provide backend administrative and systems support to Recruiting and Onboarding teams to ensure smooth daily operations
- Maintain accurate candidate and employee records within ATS, HRIS, and Excel tracking tools
- Coordinate onboarding logistics, including start dates, reminder calls, orientation schedules, system access, and documentation
- Prepare materials and provide logistical support for hiring events, orientations, and job fairs
- Support candidate and new hire communication by responding to inquiries and sharing timely updates
- Track onboarding milestones and follow up with internal partners to ensure tasks are completed on time
- Collaborate with Recruiters and Employment Program staff to support candidates requiring accommodations
- Complete, review, and track Form I-9 documentation and conduct E-Verify submissions in compliance with federal requirements
- Assist with reporting, audits, and continuous process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Provide coverage and operational support for recruiting team members as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR operations, recruiting coordination, onboarding, or administrative support
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Loop, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Experience with ATS/HRIS systems required (UKG Ready preferred; open to UKG Pro)
- Experience working with or supporting people with disabilities or other barriers to employment
- Strong written, verbal, and listening communication skills
- Ability to prioritize, re-prioritize, and follow tasks through to completion
- Experience composing professional business correspondence
- ASL and/or foreign language skills preferred (Spanish, French Creole, or Samoan)
