Project Coordinator
Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service, infrastructure reliability, and environmental stewardship, is seeking a Project Coordinator to support their Infrastructure Asset Management team in Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to large-scale capital transmission projects that power communities across the region. In this position, you will provide direct support to Project Managers throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring coordination, documentation, tracking, and communication efforts are executed with precision, organization, and professionalism.

Pay Range: $32.00 – 34.00/hr., DOE
Location: Portland, Oregon OR Vancouver, Washington – HYBRID – 3-days per week.

Key Responsibilities for Project Coordinator:
- Provide direct coordination and administrative support to assigned Project Managers across the full project lifecycle, operating strictly in a support capacity.
- Assist with tracking project scope, schedule, funding, and deliverables, escalating risks or changes to appropriate leadership.
- Monitor project milestones, RIU dates, financial timelines, and resource commitments to ensure alignment with established objectives.
- Maintain and update project schedules, risk registers, action item logs, and supporting documentation.
- Draft progress reports, financial summaries, spreadsheets, and visual aids to support leadership decision-making.
- Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, including scheduling, agenda development, documentation of minutes, and tracking follow-up actions.
- Manage project documentation and workspaces, ensuring records are organized, secure, and maintained in compliance with information governance standards.
- Support cross-functional communication among project teams, leadership, engineers, financial analysts, and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate resource requests, materials tracking, and overlapping project schedules to support efficient execution.
- Assist with planning and logistics for site visits, field activities, and stakeholder coordination, including documentation and follow-up actions.
Requirements/Qualification for Project Coordinator:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Management, Organizational Development, Computer Science or other related technical discipline is preferred.
- 1 year of experience is required with an applicable Bachelor’s degree.
- 3 years of experience is required with a Bachelor’s degree not in applicable fields.
- 5 years of experience is required without a degree.
- Experience should include direct work experience in project coordination/ control capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
- Demonstrated proficiency using SharePoint or similar programs to store, analyze and manipulate data.
- Ability to analyze, understand and effectively document technical data.
- Ability to store, manipulate, and organize large numbers of files and folders using Microsoft Windows networks or other document management programs.
- Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Project or similar programs to store, analyze and manipulate data is preferred.
- Experience in the electric utility industry is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings is preferred.
