Our client, a global SaaS organization supporting approximately 1,200 employees across 11 countries, is seeking a highly capable Part-Time Benefits & Leave Analyst to join their People Team. This is a newly approved contract role supporting the Global Benefits function, led by the Senior Manager of Global Benefits. Currently operating as a one-person team, the manager is seeking a reliable, experienced partner who can step in and contribute immediately with minimal oversight. This is an employee-facing, consultative role best suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, “always peak season” environment and enjoys serving as a trusted internal resource for benefits and leave guidance.

- Position Title: Part-Time Benefits & Leave Analyst
- Employment Type: Contract
- Classification: Part-Time (Average 20 hours/week)
- Duration: 3 Months Guaranteed (Strong Potential for Extension Based on Performance & Budget)
- Pay Rate: $45–$55/hour (DOE)
- Location: Fully Remote (U.S. based only)
- Schedule Preference: Monday–Thursday preferred; Mondays & Tuesdays required coverage
- Time Zone Preference: East Coast hours strongly preferred (Manager based in New York)
- Target Start: ASAP
Key Responsibilities of the Part-Time Benefits & Leave Analyst:
Leave Administration
- Administer and coordinate FMLA and complex state-specific leaves (NY, OR, CA strongly preferred)
- Support maternity, paternity, disability, and related leave programs
- Calculate leave pay, entitlements, and timelines
- Clearly communicate leave impacts to employees and Payroll
- Maintain documentation and compliance across jurisdictions
- Serve as the internal “help desk” for employee benefits inquiries
- Support medical, dental, vision, life, and retirement/401(k) programs
- Assist with ID cards, access issues, eligibility questions, and enrollment support
- Partner with Payroll and HRIS to ensure accurate data flow
- Collaborate with external brokers (e.g., Gallagher, Lockton, Sequoia)
- Provide benefits and leave support across 11 countries
- Assist with international leave processes (UK preferred; India is a plus)
Qualifications for the Part-Time Benefits & Leave Analyst:
- 2–4+ years of hands-on benefits and leave administration experience (non-negotiable)
- Strong working knowledge of FMLA and complex multi-state leave programs
- Experience calculating leave pay and communicating impacts to Payroll
- Employee-facing experience in a consultative/help-desk style role
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong time management and workflow ownership skills
- HRIS experience required (BambooHR preferred)
- Experience partnering with major benefits brokers
