EVENTS Manager – Public Sector (SaaS company)
Our client, a leading SaaS technology organization, is looking for a talented Events Manager to join their rapidly growing Public Sector team. This team supports state, local, education, and federal clients, and the division is expanding, creating a unique opportunity to lead events that drive meaningful engagement, generate pipeline, and deliver measurable business impact.
In this role, you will own the end-to-end management of events ranging from intimate local activations to large-scale industry conferences. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, manage vendors and partners, and ensure flawless on-site execution all while helping shape the strategy and success of the Public Sector events program.
Hourly Pay Range: $52.00 - $67.00, DOE
Type: Contract – Duration 3 Months (Has a strong possibility of extending or being considered for FTE need)
Location: Mostly Remote - Some Travel to Events

Responsibilities of an Events Manager:
- Partner with leadership to prioritize events, define goals, and track KPIs.
- Maintain an annual event calendar balancing small and large-scale events.
- Establish budgets, timelines, and resource plans.
- Handle end-to-end logistics: travel, staffing, swag, booth setup, and on-site management.
- Coordinate with internal teams to align messaging and campaigns.
- Lead on-site troubleshooting and ensure attendee engagement.
- Manage relationships with vendors, production partners, and agencies.
- Oversee booth design, AV, catering, materials, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with central marketing to ensure timely event execution.
- Support promotion via email, social, paid, and partner channels.
- Capture and optimize leads; report on MQLs and pipeline influence.
- Track KPIs, produce post-event insights, and maintain event documentation.
- Execute budgets with disciplined cost control.
- Regularly update leadership and adjust plans as needed.
Qualifications of Events Manager:
- 5+ years of event planning and execution, including large industry and Public Sector events.
- Strong project management and ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Calm under pressure with problem-solving and logistics expertise.
- Strategic thinker with attention to ROI.
- Comfortable with CRM, event registration platforms, virtual/hybrid tools, and standard office software.
- Flexible with travel and occasional irregular hours.
- Familiarity with iCapture, Salesforce, Marketo, and project management tools (ClickUp, Wrike).
- Event or project management certifications (CMP, CAPM).
