Project Manager 3 (Vancouver, WA – ONSITE 2days/wk.)
Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for a Project Manager for their Vancouver, Washington location. The role manages key projects and programs for Network Integration Transmission (NT), Point-to-Point (PTP), and Conditional Firm (CF) services, ensuring processes are efficient, transparent, and aligned with customer service requirements. Responsibilities include developing process maps, supporting business practice development, identifying product requirements, and assisting with capacity management processes. Team Overview: They evaluate product performance, coordinate new product development, evolve existing products, and manage product retirement, using insights from sales trends, technology innovation, and regulatory developments to guide strategic decisions.
This position is a one-year renewable contract that includes employee benefits!
Pay Rate: $69.00 – $73.00/hr. DOE.
Location: Vancouver, WA.
Hybrid: 2 days onsite per week required.

Key Responsibilities for Project Manager:
- Lead and manage assigned transmission product and strategic initiative projects from start to finish, applying project management best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, policy developers, and technical teams to facilitate product development, implementation, and process improvements.
- Plan, develop, and evolve transmission products and services (PTP, NT, CF, Ancillary Services) to meet customer needs, financial objectives, and compliance requirements.
- Analyze customer usage, integration of renewable energy, re-dispatch, and curtailment data to inform product decisions.
- Draft and maintain project plans, roadmaps, resource strategies, funding estimates, and work plans; monitor timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Identify, track, and mitigate risks and issues; develop contingency plans and maintain issue/risk/action logs.
- Facilitate team coordination, meetings, and communication among project teams, sponsors, and stakeholders.
- Conduct business requirements gathering, needs analysis, and gap analysis from “as-is” to “to-be” states.
- Support change management, organizational design, and process improvement initiatives.
- Prepare project status updates, final reports, and lessons-learned documentation.
- Manage transitions of project resources, ensuring knowledge transfer, training, and continuity.
- Maintain documentation, records, and files in compliance with organizational standards, governance, and security requirements.
Requirements for Project Manager:
- 10-14 years PM experience required – BA degree HIGHLY PREFERRED!
- Strong process management and analytical skills, including root cause analysis.
- Proven ability to lead projects and influence change in large, diverse organizations.
- Experience managing projects using industry-standard project management principles.
- Skilled in organizing and presenting complex information to business, executive, and technical audiences.
- Proficient with SharePoint or similar tools for data management and analysis; working knowledge of Microsoft Project or equivalent.
- Ability to estimate project costs and plan resources effectively.
- Preferred: Utility industry experience, PMI/PMP certification, and resource planning expertise.
