Project Manager 3 (ONSITE - Portland, OR.)
Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for a Project Manager for their Portland, Oregon location. This role will lead and coordinate business initiatives that support a dynamic Customer Support Services organization. You will partner closely with leadership, cross-functional teams, and key business stakeholders to plan, execute, and deliver projects that improve operational effectiveness and customer service. The Project Manager will oversee all phases of the project lifecycle, evaluating business impacts, managing timelines, mitigating risks, and ensuring project objectives, quality standards, and key milestones are achieved. Supports critical business functions including customer contract management and administration, load forecasting and analysis, customer billing, metering services, contract governance, and customer service systems. This team plays an integral role in driving business operations, enhancing customer support processes, and ensuring seamless integration across internal departments.
This position is a one-year renewable contract that includes employee benefits!
Pay Rate: $69.00/hr. - $73.00/hr. DOE.
Location: Portland, OR.

Key Responsibilities for Project Manager:
- Lead medium to large-scale projects from initiation through completion using PMI-based methodologies, industry best practices, and established project management standards.
- Develop and maintain project plans, scope, schedules, resource strategies, budgets, funding estimates, and project documentation.
- Coordinate project activities, monitor scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks, and deliverables, and recommend resource or schedule adjustments to keep projects on track.
- Partner with managers, project teams, business stakeholders, and IT to define requirements, assess business impacts, resolve dependencies, and support successful solution delivery.
- Facilitate project meetings, communicate project plans, provide regular status updates, and document project outcomes, lessons learned, and final deliverables.
- Proactively identify, assess, track, and mitigate project risks, issues, and action items; develop contingency plans and escalate obstacles when appropriate.
- Support change management and business analysis activities to facilitate project adoption and organizational readiness.
- Maintain accurate project records, documentation, and filing systems in compliance with organizational policies, governance standards, security requirements, and audit expectations.
- Foster collaboration across cross-functional teams by coordinating work, supporting team development, and helping remove barriers to project success.
Requirements for Project Manager:
- BA degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 10+ years of project management experience (14+ years in lieu of a degree).
- Experience managing projects through the full lifecycle, including planning, execution, scheduling, budgeting, and delivery.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Working knowledge of SDLC.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project (or equivalent) and Visio.
