Business Analyst 2 – PROCESS IMPROVEMENT (HYBRID)
Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for a Business Analyst for their Vancouver, Washington location. This position will support a Transmission Continuous Improvement Program focused on improving operational performance, reliability, and organizational effectiveness. In this role, you will provide data analysis, research, and program support for continuous improvement initiatives, Human Organizational Performance (HOP), and After-Action Reviews (AAR). Working closely with operational leaders and cross-functional teams, you'll deliver insights that drive process improvements and strengthen transmission system reliability.
This position is a one-year renewable contract that includes employee benefits!
Pay Rate: $47.00 - $50.75/hr. DOE.
Location: Vancouver, WA.
Hybrid: Onsite 2x per week.

Key Responsibilities for Business Analyst:
- Analyze operational and business data to identify trends, risks, root causes, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, performance metrics, reporting, and actionable recommendations.
- Coordinate incident reviews, lessons learned sessions, and corrective action efforts to improve organizational performance.
- Apply structured problem-solving methodologies to identify process gaps and reduce operational risk.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and analytics that support data-driven decision-making and program performance.
- Document, analyze, and improve business processes, including current and future state workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to implement process improvements and ensure consistent adoption of best practices.
- Conduct research, benchmark industry trends, and recommend operational improvements aligned with organizational goals.
- Develop training materials, facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions, and promote a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.
- Provide project and program coordination support, including planning, tracking deliverables, monitoring progress, and communicating results to leadership.
Requirements for Business Analyst:
- BA degree in Business, Computer Science, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of business analysis experience with a bachelor's degree, 7+ years with an associate's degree, or 9+ years of equivalent experience.
- Experience with data management principles, business processes, and operational system workflows.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
- Experience facilitating stakeholder interviews, requirements gathering, and process design sessions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Visio, including creation of complex process flows and diagrams.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). & SharePoint
