Open Enrollment Specialist
Our client, a leading healthcare organization dedicated to improving member and customer experiences, is seeking multiple Open Enrollment Specialists to support its 2026 Open Enrollment season. These individuals will primarily handle a high volume of incoming phone calls from external customers while providing clerical, data entry, and administrative support during one of the organization's busiest times of the year.
This team is seeking dependable and customer-focused professionals who are comfortable working in a fast-paced, phone-heavy environment. The ideal candidate brings strong telephone communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while providing professional and courteous customer service.
Type: Contract, Through January 8, 2027
Pay Rate: $21.00/hr., DOE
Location: 100% Remote

Pay Rate: $21.00/hr., DOE
Location: 100% Remote
- Candidates MUST reside in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or Utah
- Candidates must be able to work Pacific Time Zone hours
- Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs
- Consistent attendance throughout October, November, and December is critical, with little to no extended time off expected during the holiday season
- Handle a high volume of incoming phone calls from external customers, providing professional and courteous customer service
- Provide clerical and administrative support for 2026 Open Enrollment activities
- Perform accurate data entry and general computer-based work
- Receive, log, and distribute incoming customer inquiries
- Prepare electronic mailings and communications for external customers
- Prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities to meet established deadlines
- Follow established procedures, instructions, privacy requirements, and information security policies
- Collaborate effectively with department staff and cross-functional teams
- Maintain accuracy, quality, and attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment
- Work overtime and weekends as needed during peak Open Enrollment periods
- Perform additional clerical and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications for the Open Enrollment Specialist:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of six months of general office, administrative, clerical, customer service, or related experience or training
- Strong customer service and telephone communication skills with proven telephone courtesy
- Comfortable handling a high volume of incoming customer calls
- Ability to type at least 30 words per minute with 95% accuracy
- 10-key and data entry skills
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to follow instructions and accurately complete established processes
- Basic Microsoft Word and Excel experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Dependable, flexible, and able to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with employees at all levels of an organization
- Must have a private, quiet, dedicated, and distraction-free home workspace
- Must have Cable/CATV, DSL, or Fiber internet service and be able to connect company-provided equipment directly to a router or modem if required
- Must be available to work consistently throughout the peak Open Enrollment and holiday season
