Project Implementation Leader Senior – Healthcare Services
Our client, a leading healthcare organization dedicated to improving member and customer experiences, is seeking an experienced Project Implementation Leader Senior – NCQA Accreditation to lead strategic accreditation initiatives across multiple health plans and product lines. This role is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in NCQA Health Plan Accreditation who enjoy leading complex implementation projects, standardizing processes, and driving organizational alignment across healthcare organizations.
In this role, you'll partner closely with accreditation leadership to integrate new health plan affiliates into established accreditation processes, harmonize workflows across multiple entities, and prepare the organization for successful NCQA Health Plan Accreditation (HPA) renewal surveys. - Candidates MUST reside in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, or North Dakota
- Candidates must be able to work Pacific Time Zone hours.
Responsibilities of the Project Implementation Leader Senior:
- Lead the implementation and integration of NCQA Health Plan Accreditation processes across multiple health plans and product lines.
- Partner closely with Accreditation leadership to align affiliate accreditation activities with established standards and workflows.
- Assess existing accreditation processes, identify gaps, and develop implementation plans that support organizational alignment.
- Design, implement, and improve accreditation management tools, templates, tracking systems, and standardized workflows.
- Develop transition plans, implementation timelines, and readiness strategies for accreditation renewal surveys.
- Monitor project milestones, progress metrics, and organizational readiness while identifying risks and recommending solutions.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings, planning sessions, and stakeholder discussions to drive project success.
- Prepare project status reports, executive updates, gap analyses, and implementation documentation for leadership.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend standardized approaches that improve accreditation consistency across multiple entities.
- Resolve implementation challenges by collaborating with business leaders and escalating complex issues when appropriate.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of direct, hands-on experience supporting NCQA Health Plan Accreditation, including multiple Health Plan Accreditation (HPA) standards.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in healthcare project leadership, healthcare administration, or related implementation roles.
- Experience leading complex accreditation or regulatory projects within a healthcare payer or health plan environment.
- Experience developing accreditation processes, project management tools, workflows, or operational documentation.
- Strong understanding of accreditation standards, compliance requirements, and healthcare operational processes.
- Experience harmonizing or integrating accreditation activities across multiple health plans or business entities is strongly preferred.
- Experience working within a Single Site Multiple Entity (SSME) accreditation environment is highly preferred.
- Medicaid accreditation experience is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, influence stakeholders, and manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with AI tools that enhance project management and productivity is a plus.
- PMP and/or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certifications are preferred.
