Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental stewardship, is looking for a Project Manager for their Portland, Oregon location. In this role, you will lead and coordinate business projects supporting customer operations and service delivery. You will partner with business leaders, project teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to develop project plans, coordinate project activities, assess business impacts, and monitor progress to ensure deadlines, standards, and performance goals are successfully achieved.

Key Responsibilities for Project Manager 2:
- Manage medium-sized business projects from initiation through completion using PMI-based project management methodologies, industry standards, and best practices.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, resource strategies, budgets, funding estimates, milestones, and deliverables.
- Define and manage project scope, assess business impacts, and coordinate approved changes to project cost, schedule, or performance.
- Partner with business and technical teams to understand requirements, dependencies, and implementation needs while serving as a liaison between stakeholders.
- Facilitate project meetings, coordinate cross-functional teams, assign and track action items, and maintain clear communication across project stakeholders.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, resources, and performance, identifying potential delays, constraints, or issues and recommending corrective actions.
- Proactively identify and manage project risks, maintain risk and issue logs, and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
- Coordinate project resources and identify potential resource allocation challenges to support successful project delivery.
- Prepare project status reports, final reports, lessons learned, and other project documentation for leadership and stakeholder review.
- Maintain accurate project records, schedules, budgets, and workflows within project management systems.
- Support business analysis and change management activities to help ensure successful implementation and adoption of project solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with project sponsors, business leaders, technical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a closely related field preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience with an applicable bachelor’s degree, or 10+ years of equivalent experience without an applicable degree.
- 5+ years of demonstrated project management experience using industry-standard methodologies and tools to manage schedules, dependencies, resources, budgets, deliverables, and project plans.
- 5+ years of experience successfully managing or coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
- 5+ years of working knowledge of System Life Cycle (SLC) principles.
- Demonstrated experience developing project plans, managing priorities and milestones, and tracking project risks, issues, decisions, and action items.
- Experience with Microsoft Project or similar project management software, including timelines, dependencies, milestones, deliverables, and resource management.
- Experience creating process flows and diagrams using Microsoft Visio or similar tools
