Operations Analyst – Information Security and Compliance
Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental stewardship, is seeking an Operations Analyst for their Vancouver, Washington location. In this role, you will support the development, implementation, and monitoring of organizational compliance, cybersecurity, and technology management strategies. The position will provide analytical and operational support for security assessments, regulatory requirements, risk management, and technology-related compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities for Senior Operations Analyst:
Compliance & Risk Management
- Support organizational compliance, cybersecurity, risk management, and regulatory programs through monitoring, analysis, documentation, and process improvement.
- Serve as a point of contact for compliance-related questions and provide guidance, training, and issue escalation as needed.
- Develop and maintain processes, procedures, training materials, and documentation to support compliance and audit requirements.
- Support audits and assessments through data collection, analysis, quality assurance, and technical documentation.
- Evaluate business processes and information quality, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
- Develop and maintain performance metrics, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Support risk management activities by coordinating information, documentation, stakeholder input, and training.
- Prepare briefings and materials to communicate information quality, compliance, and process requirements.
- Coordinate data requests, surveys, and reporting activities by reviewing requirements, gathering information, and developing responses.
- Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to analyze business processes, identify gaps, evaluate alternatives, and develop recommendations.
- Document current and future processes and develop procedures to support approved organizational improvements.
Requirements for Senior Operations Analyst:
- A degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, and Computer Science or a directly related discipline (or closely related field) is preferred.
- With an applicable bachelor’s degree, 5 years of experience is required.
- With an applicable associate’s degree, 7 years of experience is required.
- Without an applicable degree, 9 years of experience is required.
- Experience should be consistent with the specific requirements of business or operations analysis and progressively more technical in nature.
- 5 years’ experience performing quantitative analysis.
- 1 year experience using automated data systems to include SharePoint and Visio sufficient to perform technical outputs. Technical output can include use of advanced printing such as plotters, and cross-software embedding for presentations or technical webinars.
Preferred Requirements for Senior Operations Analyst:
- 1 year of experience with North American Electric Reliability Corporation, Critical Infrastructure Protection (NERC CIP) regulatory standards and requirements.
- 1 year of experience with the Risk Management Framework and the 800 series of National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) Special Publications (in particular 800-37, 800-39, 800-53, 800-53A, and 800-115).
- 1 year of experience coordinating and maintaining NERC CIP requirements for an electrical utility or comparable public or private utility facilities.
- 1 year of technical writing and editing experience.
- Knowledge of the application of Cyber Security practices within the Federal Environment or other electrical utility or comparable public or private utility facilities.
- CISSP or equivalent.
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation Certification.
