Our client, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking a Clinical Intake Analyst I to support clinical service operations. This role will review, triage, and route incoming healthcare documentation while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and HIPAA compliance. This is a great opportunity for someone with healthcare administrative experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Pay Range: $22.00 - $24.00 / Hour
- Location: 100% Remote (Must Reside in OR, WA, ID, UT, or ND).
- Must be able to work Pacific Time Zone hours; flexibility for occasional extended hours and weekends may be required
- Contract Duration: 6 months, with potential for temp-to-hire
Key Responsibilities for Clinical Intake Analyst I:
- Receive, organize, research, and triage incoming clinical documentation related to Utilization Management, Care Management, Disease Management, and Appeals
- Review incoming work to identify the appropriate work type and route documentation through the correct workflow
- Manage high volumes of inquiries while prioritizing urgent and time-sensitive requests
- Use healthcare systems and available resources to research incoming documentation and determine appropriate next steps
- Image and process documentation in accordance with HIPAA, privacy laws, and department standards
- Manage workloads to ensure work is completed accurately and within required timeframes
- Maintain quality, productivity, and timeliness standards while working across multiple healthcare systems
- Provide coverage for urgent or expedited appeals, including during long weekends when needed
- Perform general administrative duties, including maintaining files and supplies, requesting equipment repairs, and assisting with correspondence
- Work collaboratively with internal teams while independently prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
Requirements/Qualifications for Clinical Intake Analyst I:
- High school diploma or GED required
- General office, administrative, or healthcare experience required
- 1+ year of Regence Customer Service experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with healthcare benefits, systems, and documentation
- General proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong organizational, data-entry, and administrative skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to evaluate documentation and determine appropriate routing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to learn, retain, and interpret new or evolving information and processes
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and effectively as part of a team
- Must be comfortable working with sensitive and confidential healthcare information
