Project Coordinator – Utilities
Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for a Project Coordinator for their Vancouver, Washington location. In this role you will support Transmission Project Management teams to enhance transmission line operations. This role involves collaborating with project managers, coordinators, and technical experts to support project workflows across various project types, such as substation and telecommunications.

Pay Range: $30.00 – $34.00/HR
Location: Hybrid in Vancouver, WA (3 days on site per two-week period)
Key Responsibilities for Project Coordinator:
- Support assigned projects using PMI-based project management methodologies.
- Coordinate activities to meet project goals within time and funding limits.
- Facilitate clear communication with stakeholders and project teams.
- Track project resources and monitor project milestones and schedules.
- Coordinate project documents and update workspaces as required.
- Manage meeting logistics, including agendas, documentation, and follow-up.
- Assist in planning and coordinating site visits and field activities.
- Monitor risk management and alert project teams of any potential concerns.
- Compile lessons learned throughout project phases.
- Support project resource coordination across overlapping projects.
- Facilitate project change requests and draft change logs for review.
- Conduct document management to ensure compliance with information security standards.
- Provide consistent updates on project progress and changes to relevant team members.
- Assist in coordinating project-related resources and logistics as requested.
Requirements/Qualification for Project Coordinator:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, management, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience):
- 1 year of experience required with an applicable degree.
- 3 years required with a degree in a non-applicable field.
- 5 years required without a degree.
- Direct project coordination/control experience in process development and execution.
- Proficiency in MS Project or similar (e.g., Primavera) for scheduling.
- Experience using SharePoint for project management.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
- Electric utility industry experience preferred.
- Ability to analyze, document, and understand technical data preferred.
- Strong organization skills for managing large files on Windows networks or document systems preferred.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings preferred.
