The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) plays a crucial role in the organization, taking on a variety of responsibilities that drive its success. This position collaborates closely with senior leaders, department heads, and employees to ensure HR efforts align with the company’s overall goals. Acting as a trusted advisor and coach, the HRBP fosters a positive and engaging work environment. Beyond shaping workplace culture, this role ensures compliance with employment laws and regulations. Ultimately, this work is key in developing strategies that enhance both organizational performance and employee satisfaction.

Salary: $85k – $100k
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide initial support to employees and managers on workplace practices, programs, systems, and other inquiries, utilizing ticketing systems as needed.
- Act as a trusted advisor and advocate for employees, handling employee relations issues and conflicts impartially
- Advising managers on employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with employment laws and conducting thorough investigations.
- Collaborate with People Operations & Disability Inclusion on HR initiatives, including talent development, rewards practices, and compliance with HR policies.
- Guide management and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices to support new initiatives.
- Support coordination of Leave of Absence and Workers Compensation programs, including transitional work and accommodations.
- Partner with business leaders to align HR strategies with organizational goals, facilitating employee engagement and leading organizational change efforts.
- Recommend and implement programs to enhance leadership effectiveness and retain key talent.
- Collaborate with managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
- Assist in developing performance review frameworks and career development pathways, providing guidance on performance management.
- Ensure HR systems are updated accurately and timely.
- Conduct audits and analyze HR metrics to drive data-driven decision-making and improve employee performance.
- Participate in cross-functional projects to enhance HR processes and practices.
- Stay informed on industry trends and labor laws to recommend HR policy changes that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 8+ Years of experience required.
- Union experience required.
- Bilingual (Spanish) abilities is highly preferred.
- Proven experience as an HRBP or HR Generalist, with a track record of successfully partnering with leaders to drive HR initiatives and achieve organizational results.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices, with the ability to apply them in a practical and compliant manner.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with employees, managers, and leadership at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders to achieve consensus and drive change.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret HR metrics and trends to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- High degree of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
