Operations Analyst
Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for an Operations Analyst for their Vancouver, Washington location. This position provides support to the Operational Services organization within the Transmission Technology department, and focuses on documenting internal procedures, supporting audit and compliance activities, and driving process improvements.

Pay Range: $36.00 – $41.00/HR
Location: Hybrid in Vancouver, WA (3 days per two-week pay period on-site)
Key Responsibilities for Operations Analyst:
- Develop reporting tools to track and communicate progress on standards-related activities and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Draft and recommend work processes to enhance the reliability and efficiency of control center functions.
- Collect and prepare audit artifacts for compliance certification as requested.
- Coordinate compliance processes to meet deadlines, escalating any concerns to the appropriate management.
- Implement North American Reliability Cooperation (NERC) standards within regulatory deadlines under management oversight.
- Facilitate periodic audits to ensure adherence to policy and document findings.
- Draft and document infrastructure processes for Operational Services.
- Maintain and formalize cross-training processes for Operational Services staff.
- Oversee the document management process to ensure timely publishing, version control, and compliance with Information Protection rules.
- Support the development and execution of processes for compliance tasks related to physical and cyber access, library management, procurement, and equipment.
- Draft and maintain procurement process documents for control center infrastructure, equipment, software, and services contracts.
- Assist in annual reviews of user access to cyber assets and manage physical access privileges to meet NERC guidelines.
- Verify equipment tagging per asset management instructions and track inventory within designated management systems.
- Run and verify organizational data reports and metrics for performance plan benchmarks.
- Generate budget reports upon request for management review.
Requirements for Operations Analyst:
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in business administration, management, accounting, computer science, or a related field (preferred).
- 2 years of directly related experience with a bachelor’s degree.
- 4 years of directly related experience with an associate’s degree.
- 6 years of directly related experience without a degree.
- Expert proficiency in automated data systems to include SharePoint and Visio and a high degree of efficiency in technical dynamics of software output (e.g. use of advanced printing such as to plotters, capabilities of cross-software embedding for purposes of presentations, technical webinars, etc.) is required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
