Senior Project Coordinator
Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for a Senior Project Coordinator for their Vancouver, Washington) location. In this role you will provide (2-3 sentences brief description of role). In this role you will play a vital role in supporting projects that strengthen transmission line operations. This position manages projects through their full lifecycle, encompassing substation, telecommunication, transmission lines, and facility work. With a focus on planning, execution, and monitoring, this department is dedicated to expanding, maintaining, and enhancing critical infrastructure that supports robust and reliable operations. Pay Range: $36.00 – 40.65, DOE
Location: Vancouver, Washington – HYBRID – 2-3 days per week onsite.
Key Responsibilities for Senior Project Coordinator:
- Assist Project Managers (PMs) by coordinating project activities, supporting end-to-end project phases, and providing guidance on project management best practices.
- Document project discussions, assist in scope and process definition, and provide communication support.
- Support project communication efforts, track team communications, and facilitate inter-team coordination.
- Help monitor schedules, milestones, and budgets. Track project changes, maintain documentation, and ensure project status is up to date.
- Organize project meetings, prepare agendas, facilitate discussions, and distribute meeting minute.
- Arrange and prepare for project-related site visits, including logistics and required documentation.
- Assist in forecasting and requesting project resources, coordinating schedules, and managing overlapping project resources.
- Aid in technical and logistical aspects of project planning and collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders when necessary.
- Participate in process improvements, change management efforts, and business rule updates, assisting PMs with technical reporting issues.
Requirements/Qualification for Senior Project Coordinator:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration or management, organizational development, computer science, or other related technical discipline is preferred.
- 5 years of experience is required with an applicable bachelor’s degree.
- 7 years of experience is required with a bachelor’s degree not in applicable fields.
- 9 years of experience is required without a degree.
- Experience should include direct work experience in a project coordination/ control capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution. Must be capable of applying a diversified knowledge of principles and practices in assigned technical areas. Requires a working knowledge of automated data systems.
- Demonstrated proficiency using MS Project or similar program (i.e. Primavera) to create, analyze, and manipulate project schedules.
- Demonstrated experience using SharePoint to maintain and create project sites for use and storage of project documents and content.
- Ability to analyze, understand, and effectively document technical data.
- Ability to store, manipulate, and organize large numbers of files and folders using Microsoft Windows networks or other document management programs.
